One Night in Beautiful Basel!

I was so excited to visit Basel for the first time before boarding a river cruise. Basel is a city that effortlessly combines history, culture, and modern life. If you’re seeking a luxurious and unforgettable experience, look no further than Les Trois Rois, a renowned hotel that exudes elegance and charm along with a 3 Michelin Star restaurant.

Upon checking in at the Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois, you’ll immediately be captivated by its exquisite decor and attentive staff. The hotel’s prime location along the Rhine River offers stunning views and easy access to some of Basel’s most iconic landmarks. You can feel the history as it is one of the oldest hotels in Europe.

After an afternoon nap, I made my way to the Amber Bar, a trendy rooftop oasis above the museum. This cool spot was ideal for unwinding with signature cocktails while enjoying the city’s panoramic skyline.

We were really wanting some traditional fondue and schnitzel for dinner so at the hotel’s recommendation we went to Walliser Kane for a delicious dinner. This restaurant is a culinary gem, offering a delectable blend of Swiss and international cuisine. Needless to say, it was the perfect Swiss experience!

The next morning, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the Brasserie in Les Trois Rois before exploring Basel’s cultural treasures. The city has numerous museums, art galleries, and historic landmarks, including the renowned Basel Minster and Kunstmuseum.

One night in this beautiful city is just enough to leave you yearning for more. Whether you’re a culture enthusiast, a foodie, or simply seeking relaxation, Basel has something to offer everyone.
